The Time Machine (Signet Classics)

The Time Machine - Greg Bear, H.G. Wells Great example of Victorian era fiction. The air of wonder and mystery is heightened by having an everyman narrator in the frame story tell the reader the story he heard from the adventuresome protagonist time traveller. Wells expressed some strong views about humanity which, though I don't think they're particularly valid, provide a fun and interesting insight into the mindset of his time.
